How this service works
The reviewed 5GB and 10GB proposals combine regional hosting with bounded monthly maintenance and independently reserved backup storage. The model reserves seven complete copies of live disk rather than relying on hoped-for compression. That proposed recovery design still needs a successful pilot and restore before it becomes a service guarantee.
What happens next
Setup and handover
- Review the theme, plugins, licences and current site health. Confirm the scope is suitable for a bounded retainer.
- Create a baseline copy and confirm the recovery destination, region and access permissions.
- Schedule core and compatible plugin checks, record changes and watch the agreed endpoints.
- Test recovery, hand over the support process and separately quote work outside the monthly allowance.

Questions before you choose
Will you update every plugin automatically?
No blanket compatibility promise is made. Paid licences remain the customer’s responsibility, and unusual plugins or application work need assessment.
Does managed care include development?
No. Design, content editing, custom code, complex malware removal and ecommerce availability commitments are excluded from the small monthly proposal.
What is included in a restore?
The proposal scopes one 30-minute assisted restore per quarter within the support allowance. The stored recovery points, permissions and real restore result must be verified before launch.
Can we use a different backup region?
The proposed destination is London, separate from the South African site. A different location or data protection requirement needs a re-costed plan and approval.
