Virtual servers and server care for business workloads.
From E169/month

Separate the server from the work of running it
A cloud server supplies CPU, memory, disk and network transfer. It is useful when an application needs more control than shared hosting offers. It does not automatically provide system administration, backups, application support or a reliable business mailbox.

How this service works
The reviewed catalogue compares Vultr regular compute with a proposed Johannesburg location and DigitalOcean Basic compute with a proposed London location. These are not interchangeable data-region claims: DigitalOcean is not presented as a South African datacentre. Plan capacity, IPv4, eligibility, resale permission and latency still need verification.
What happens next
Setup and handover
- Describe the application, data sensitivity, required disk and traffic, and who will maintain it.
- Confirm an eligible supplier arrangement or customer-owned account and a suitable region.
- Provision only after separate approval, apply an agreed baseline and test connectivity.
- Choose separate administration and backup components, then document access, billing and recovery.

Questions before you choose
Is the server managed at the VPS price?
No. The compute proposals are unmanaged Linux. Essential and Plus server care are separate, capped labour retainers; application development and 24/7 incident response are excluded.
Can the VPS host our email?
Business mail is kept on a managed mailbox backend. DigitalOcean blocks direct SMTP ports 25,465 and 587; Vultr’s default port 25 block and relay options do not establish production deliverability.
Are Windows and control panels included?
No. Paid operating system or panel licences, application licences, excess transfer and special storage are separate costs.
Do the prices guarantee stock or an SLA?
No. A listed supplier plan is not an account-specific capacity reservation, and no supplier uptime guarantee is passed through as a Phones R Us commitment.
